About the Role

Overview
The Residential House Manager will oversee all aspects of residence management, including direct supervision of staff. This leadership ensures that all team members are effectively supporting our residents' needs and fostering a positive living environment.

Additionally, the manager will coordinate daily necessities and medical management for individuals in the residence. This includes ensuring that each resident receives appropriate care and support tailored to their unique requirements.

Compliance with ODP state requirements is crucial in this role. The manager must ensure that all operational practices align with state regulatory standards while maintaining a strong commitment to patient care and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Oversee the operations of assigned residential homes and staff
Provide regular, consistent supervision to all assigned staff
Prepare DSP work schedule and reviews timecards
Maintain accurate/up to date records and documentation according to state regulations
Monitor DSP documentation in Therap to ensure up to date and correctly entered
Oversee shadow training of newly hired DSPs
Complete performance evaluations as required
Oversee the maintenance of assigned residences
Create monthly residential budget
Oversee the purchase of residence supplies and equipment
Monitor and observe Individuals for changes in their physical or emotional condition, reporting any concerns to the leadership team and appropriate healthcare professionals
Maintain communication with family of Individuals assigned to residence
Communicate with leadership team to coordinate support for Individuals/staff and relay vital information whenever needed
Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans effectively
Attend staff meeting, providing input and ideas
Responds to emergencies situations as needed
Performs related duties as assigned

Requirements

Skills

  • Experience in patient care settings is highly desirable

  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques

  • Knowledge of Individual Service Plans (ISP)

  • Strong skills in patient observation to identify changes in health status or behavior

  • Familiarity with ODP, Therap, direct support services and the principles of person-centered care

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and compassion towards residents

  • Ability to assist residents while promoting their independence and dignity


LICENSE/CERTIFICATION NEEDED:

Ability to satisfactorily complete all necessary in-service training, and ability to obtain CPR and basic first aid and medication administration certification

  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a demonstrated safe driving record

  • Medication Administration Certification is a plus
